Chris Nimcheski

iOS Software Engineer

I'm Chris

I am a passionate developer from Scottsdale, Arizona, currently pursuing my bachelors in computer science at Colorado School of Mines, where I'll graduate in May 2026. With over three years of experience building apps in SwiftUI, I've contributed to large, team-based projects as well as developed an industry level app from the ground up.

I am excited for you to see my work! Check it out below!

MY WORK

Glassdoor Internship (iOS)

I implemented new SwiftUI features from Figma designs, driving increased engagement to the Community team. I led the implementation of the Bowl Leader Insights screen, delivering key community metrics to users. I fixed bugs and refined UI, following MVVM and Coordinator architecture. I also used GraphQL for data fetching and leveraged Bitrise CI/CD and SonarQube to support code quality and testing. Most importantly, I collaborated closely with designers, product managers, and cross-functional engineers.

climbto350 (iOS and iPadOS)

Climbto350 is an aviation job board app. It allows you to browse, search, and apply for all sorts of aviation jobs across all parts of the globe.

I joined the climbto350 team and was tasked with building an iOS app from scratch in June 2023. I started by building a REST API in Python FastAPI to communicate with the existing website's SQL Server database. I then called on the API within the app to sync it with the website. The app itself was created using SwiftUI and some minor UIKit. I released climbto350 to the App Store in July 2024.

So far, the app has:

  • Gained 8k+ downloads
  • Produced over $100k in revenue
  • Gained an overall 5 star rating

American Eagle Stucco (Web)

American Eagle Stucco is a construction company in Fountain Hills, Arizona.

I worked for American Eagle Stucco from May to July 2024. I was tasked with creating a website for the company from the top down. I did all of the coding using Python Flask, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I also traveled to construction sites all across Arizona with team members to familiarize myself with the company and take pictures for the website. I released the website on an Ubuntu server in July 2024.
